This year, some of our most-loved holiday traditions may not be plausible. But one holiday tradition that’s not going anywhere is driving (or strolling) around to admire Christmas lights. So bundle up, grab a hot beverage, and go see the 15 best holiday light displays around Seattle & the Eastside:
SEATTLE
WildLanterns – You can always count on Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo to display beautiful holiday lights. This year, the zoo will be changing things up by replacing typical Christmas lights with intricate animal-shaped lanterns. Bundle up and wear your mask as you prepare to spend 60-90 minutes strolling around the zoo.

Westlake Park Light Sculptures – Head over to Westlake Park to glimpse the dazzling light sculptures that are made up of over 80,000 individual lights! Pack your camera, because this is the perfect place to take some holiday photos.

Seattle Center Luminata – Traverse the grounds of the Seattle Center to enjoy an abundance of specialty light features.

Candy Cane Lane in Ravenna – Drive, or take a socially distanced walk, through this Ravenna neighborhood that has been decking out their homes for Christmas since the 1940’s!

Olympic Manor in Ballard – Another neighborhood that puts on a wonderful Christmas light display is Olympic Manor in Ballard. This is a large community of winding streets that is easiest to drive through.

EASTSIDE
Christmas in Redmond – Tune your car radio to 103.1 FM and watch as the choreographed lights twinkle to the Christmas tunes.

Snoqualmie Winter Lights – Grab a cookie and a cup of hot cocoa and wander around downtown Snoqualmie to glimpse the glittering lights. (Visit the city’s website to download a map). If you have kids, make sure to stop at the gazebo so that they can place a letter to Santa in his personal mailbox.

Snowflake Lane – Although there won’t be performers this year, you can still expect to see a lovely light display in this stretch of downtown Bellevue to awaken your holiday cheer.

Timberline Neighborhood in Sammamish – If you want to see some homes that are decked out for the holidays, take a walk or drive through the Timberline neighborhood in Sammamish.

Maple Valley Lights – Another must-see dancing light display is located off of 263rd Pl. in Maple Valley. Just tune your car radio to 101.9 FM and sit back as the choreographed lights twinkle to 10-15 Christmas songs.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY
Keener’s Christmas Light Display – Drive through this Snohomish County favorite, featuring an acre of over 100K holiday lights! The best part? The light display helps raise money for HopeLink of Kirkland and childhood cancer research, so don’t forget to
bring cans of food or cash to donate!

Pennlights Holiday Show – If you live in Snohomish County, park on the cul-de-sac outside of these two homes and tune your car radio to 103.1 FM. Then sit back and watch as the choreographed lights of the neighboring houses duel it out to the music.

Wintertide Lights – Take a self-guided, socially distanced walk around Evergreen Arboretum’s sea of sparkling lights. Masks are required and canned food is appreciated – the city of Everett is holding a canned food drive at this location.

Merrysville Home for the Holidays – Traverse around the city of Marysville, taking in the magical holiday lights put up by local residents, organizations and businesses. Starting Dec. 10th, you can download a map on the City of Marysville website.

Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach Camp – If you want to see a real show, purchase a $25 ticket (per vehicle) and drive through this display of over 1 million lights! Your kids will be delighted when they get a chance to wave to Mr. & Mrs. Claus and place a letter to Santa in his drive through mailbox.
